Toldi Kehoe

Did you know that the traditional form of our Toldi Kehoe clubs is based on a form developed by American fitness enthusiast and author Sim D. Kehoe over 100 years ago?

During his visit to Europe in the 1860s, Kehoe was introduced to the art of the Indian club by the famous fitness expert Professor Harrison. At the time, Harrison swung huge clubs and was considered the strongest man in England.

After Kehoe's return, he started making his own versions for Indian clubs, in various forms. He soon began distributing them in America, increasing their popularity and use in the country.

The shape of Sim D Kehoe's club really stands out among Indian clubs - with round bodies that flare out significantly from the handle and then quickly fold back to the base.

They're a lot of fun to swing, as their weight is placed higher on the body of the club than traditional designs (and much closer to the grip). This results in a tighter swing vector, which is a bit like a whip and a challenge compared to classic shapes. It's therefore a great choice for experienced swingers who want to try something a little harder.
